Sunlight varies by place, season, orientation and shade. Use local estimates such as PVWatts and state the losses. Daylight hours are not full-power hours.
3. Measure the space
Check stored and deployed dimensions, weight and mounting. More rated watts do not help if the panel will not fit or is shaded.
4. Match electrical limits
Compare panel Voc and current with the receiving unit’s input range and maximums. Follow manufacturer instructions.
5. Check connectors and accessories
Verify cables, polarity, adapters and charge controller. Seek qualified help for permanent wiring or uncertainty.
6. Count the full cost

Are more rated watts always better?
No. The panel must fit your space and remain within the receiving equipment’s electrical limits.
